This executive management change is the result of both regrouping of responsibilities on Ciklum leadership team level and Mr. Khmil’s strive to focus more on governmental initiatives and public IT projects such as Brain Basket Foundation where he is a member of the Advisory Board.
Ciklum is also pleased to announce key additions to its executive leadership team with the hiring of Sam Kingston as Chief Operating Officer and Mark Burden as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Khmil has greatly contributed in advancing Ciklums Operations division and as Ciklum is now focusing on expanding its business units globally, Sam Kingston will implement Ciklums new strategic vision.
Mr. Kingston has stepped into his role as COO in March 2014 and is currently running company’s international expansion. Prior to joining Ciklum, Sam has held executive leadership roles across different geographies in Europe, Africa, Americas and Australasia for Perot Systems, SAIC, Oracle, EDS (now HP), Unisys and Deutsche Telekom Group.
Ciklum’s new COO will be responsible not only for operations in the countries where Ciklum has development and sales centers, but also leading the business on a more strategic level.
Mark Burden, newly appointed CFO, has over 20+ years of CIS and has previously worked as CFO at Volia Cable and Financial Director in MTS Ukraine.

Following a successful career in Chemical Research during which he published several scientific papers and was granted a number of patent applications, Sam moved into the Information & Technology industry in early 1990. He has since that time held international board level positions in both Client and Supplier organisations. His appointment as CIO for East Midlands Electricity (now e.on UK) was the prelude to working within IT Services sector. Sam holds an honours degree in Chemistry, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Polymer Science.
